Conversion rate is the percentage of website visitors who complete a desired goal — such as making a purchase, filling out a form, or subscribing to a newsletter — out of the total number of visitors. It is a primary KPI for e-commerce and lead generation sites, directly tied to revenue and business performance.

Conversion rates are tracked in Google Analytics via Goal Completions and Ecommerce reports, and in platforms like HubSpot, Shopify Analytics, or Mixpanel. Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) tools like Hotjar, Optimizely, and VWO are used to test and improve conversion-driving elements.
