Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) is the systematic process of increasing the percentage of website visitors who take a desired action — such as purchasing, signing up, or clicking a CTA — through data-driven experimentation including A/B testing, multivariate testing, and UX improvements. It combines analytics, user psychology, and design principles.

CRO is implemented using tools like Google Optimize, Optimizely, and VWO for testing, alongside heatmap tools like Hotjar or Crazy Egg for behavioral insights. Conversion metrics are tracked in Google Analytics, where funnel visualization and goal flow reports reveal drop-off points in the conversion journey.
